Bomb scare in Magomadas for a strange package found on the spare tire of a pensioner's pick up. It was feared that it could explode but the intervention of the Carabinieri of Macomer and the bomb squad of Nuoro clarified that it was an incendiary device: it could not have exploded but it could have started the flames damaging the car of the 72-year-old in via Aldo Moro.

The military of the Bosa station and the Macomer Company, led by Captain Giovanni Maria Seu, then requested the intervention of the Nuoro bomb squad: from the checks it immediately emerged that the package was an incendiary device, made with a firelighter tablet, some rags soaked in diesel fuel, wax candles and glue. A dangerous mix, very little would have been enough to start the fire.

This is why the investigators' hypothesis at the moment is that someone simply wanted to send a warning to the pensioner who had been emigrated abroad for years. The man was interviewed at length by the Carabinieri, and the images from the cameras are also being examined to try to shed full light on the episode.
