The mobile phone number from which the call about the false bomb alarm at the airport in Olbia originated was identified almost immediately yesterday afternoon. The Carabinieri immediately gave a name to the owner, a man from Carbonia who has mental health problems.

The call came to 112 yesterday afternoon and reported the presence of a bomb under the plane leaving for Milan. Complicating the situation was the presence of luggage in the hold that could not be traced back to any passenger. It was in fact a bag that had to be delivered to a person not present on board, technically a "reunification".

The reclamation and searches also in the undercarriage of the aircraft gave negative results. In fact, however, there was an immediate sensation of a baseless alarm. An investigation has been opened against the owner of the traced telephone for the crimes of causing an alarm and interrupting public services.
