Baunei, is injured during the excursion: woman rescued from the helicopter

A 50-year-old from Capoterra was involved in an accident along the path between Santa Maria Navarrese and Pedralonga, in the Baunei area. It happened shortly after noon, during an excursion that the lady had started in the previous hours together with a group of family and friends.

According to an initial reconstruction, the hiker injured her ankle and was no longer able to continue the walk .

Since this is a particularly inaccessible place, the 118 operations center arranged for the Areus helicopter to be sent, which recovered it with the winch and transported it to the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital. Here the health personnel subjected her to instrumental tests for the suspected ankle fracture.
