Marco Mameli's killer still unnamed, but a robust investigative activity is underway

The killer is still unnamed. The Lanusei Prosecutor's Office is investigating for murder but the PM, Giovanna Morra, is proceeding against unknown persons. The information available to the magistrate on the case prepared in the hours following the events is still limited: at the moment no one is under investigation for the murder of Marco Mameli although there is a robust, yet complex investigative activity conducted by the agents of the Tortolì police station directed by the vice-questor Fabrizio Figliola.
In a parallel proceeding, the prosecutor has entered Giampaolo Migali, 27, from Girasole, in the register of suspects, who is charged with the crimes of assault and illegal possession of a weapon. In the dead of night, between Sunday and Monday, assisted by his trusted lawyer Marcello Caddori, the boy made spontaneous statements to the police saying that he had wounded Andrea Contu (26), a worker from Ilbono, with a knife, who ended the evening on Saturday at the Lanusei Emergency Room . The weapon that Migali had in his hand at that time has not been found. The young man stated that he had left it on the street.
Today at 11 am at the Public Prosecutor's Office, PM Morra will assign the task of carrying out the autopsy on Marco Mameli's body to forensic doctors Michela Laurenzo and Danilo Fois.
