« Siotto does not fall into the trap of those who act at night to threaten imaginary anti-fascists with painted nails. We will be united in reporting to the authorities every threat and every act of violence, physical or verbal . We do not fall into the traps of violence, we are not squad members ».

Thus the school in Viale Trento in Cagliari , through a message published on the site of the Liceo Classico, after the episode of the banner "Antifa' leave it, you'll ruin your nail polish" placed yesterday next to the main entrance. A worrying message, according to the students.

«For days the school has been vandalized with banners with hymns to fascism, threats and photos of the Duce - explained Fabio Argiolas, school representative. This is unconstitutional and following the episode of the Liceo in Florence we say enough to the threats of the fascists».

The banner was removed by the same pupils of the school who had hung up a new banner with the inscription «Siotto antifa' and with the Constitution it will always be». But now that banner is gone.

"However, we at Siotto are - reads the school's web space - with our free individual political ideas, which no one can force us to renounce, with our free personal beliefs about worldly things, which cannot be forbidden us, with our free gender identity, which no one can impose on us, with our free religious convictions, which no one can force us to abjure, however we are, we at Siotto are free people and will continue to be so, and each of us will continue to defend everyone's right to express themselves. We believe in our country's democracy, perhaps imperfect, but which has guaranteed us the freedom to which so many peoples aspire. We defend the Constitution of the Italian Republic, which protects freedom and which has prohibited the reconstitution of the fascist party in any form. We are free people, those who have freely chosen to have their nails painted and those who have freely chosen not to have them».
