The municipality of Banari administered by the mayor Francesco Basciu, in collaboration with the Pro loco chaired by Luciana Sassu and the help of the Meilogu language desk, wanted to organize an event dedicated to two of its illustrious sons: the improvising poet Barore Sassu and the to taulinu Angelo Porcheddu .

The evening is scheduled for Sunday 10 September , starting at 18, in Largo Gramsci, and includes the intervention of the linguistic operator Mauro Piredda and the musicians Luciano Sezzi (saxophonist) and Andrea Fenu (pianist).

Sassu, for over fifty years, had the opportunity to make his improvised rhyme known in all the squares of Sardinia. During his long career he has had the opportunity to deal with the most important exponents of improvised poetic art: from Raimondo Piras of Villanova Monteleone to Giuseppe Sotgiu of Bonorva, from Giovanni Seu of Chiaramonti to Antonio Piredda of Thiesi, just to name a few.

On the other hand, Porcheddu was among those who took home a large number of prizes in poetry competitions: to name a few, Posada and Ozieri.
