At 15, she was already captivating with her talent. Now she's an established artist: trumpeter and singer Andrea Motis is the guest star of the second installment of the (to) Be in Jazz festival. Tomorrow at 11 a.m. and again at 6 p.m., she will perform at the Teatro Civico in Sassari in a concert with the Sardinian Jazz Orchestra, "Colors & Shadows."
Spanish Andrea Motis, a very young protégé of Quincy Jones, is the star of the project with original songs ranging from Latin jazz to classical vocal jazz, with clear traces of Spanish and Latin music.
The arrangements are by Mike Mossman, leader of the WDR Big Band, the German jazz orchestra of the public broadcaster Westdeutscher Rundfunk, while the Sardinia Jazz Orchestra will be conducted by Gavino Mele.
Following the concert, there will be the usual presentation and tasting of the finest wines from Tenute Gregu di Calangianus, organized by the Berchidda Wine Museum, Enoturistika scarl, and in collaboration with the Strada del Vermentino di Gallura and Ue.Coop.
