At the Astra Theatre in Sassari the show of Italian clowns

“Born to Laugh” is the title, although perhaps Born to Make People Laugh would have been better. As part of the national Clowntherapy festival held in Sassari, the CineTeatro Astra will host the clown show in the corridor on Saturday at 6:30 pm. There will be clowns from many regions of Italy, all in town to celebrate the 20 years of the Sassari association HappyClown.
The show is free and open to all citizens. On stage, presented by the Sardinian actor and director Ignazio Chessa , professional and amateur clowns will perform, artists belonging to various national clown therapy associations. Special guest the American clown Michael Christensen , inventor of clown therapy and founder, in New York, of the first special unit of clown doctors "The Clown Care Unit".
There will be Rodrigo Morganti , the first clown doctor in Italy, artistic director of the Dottor Sorriso Foundation who will perform a juggling act; Roberto Flangini with comic magic in the “Escapology Show”; Pietro Olla with a classic circus act; Daniele Guaragna and his comic puppet theater of Il Giardino dei Pupazzi; Massimiliano Maiucchi alias Jully, the King of Citrulli, and his magical world of animated readings; Ginevra Sanguigno who will perform a gag entitled “Clown, Voice of the Accordion”; Evaristo and Fede , of Dottor Clown Italia who will bring to the stage “The doctor specialized in otorhinolaryngology”; and the mime performance by Raj , who discovered clown therapy during his childhood spent in an orphanage in India and today, for 11 years, has been a “red nose” volunteer.
