Cagliari and Sardinia immortalized from Space by Samantha Cristoforetti .

The Italian astronaut, who participates in the Minerva Mission on the International Station orbiting the Earth, has posted two evocative shots of the island on his Twitter profile .

The first immortalizes the capital "which is equally breathtaking both day and night" , writes AstroSamantha accompanying the shot.

And, for those who are not at home in Cagliari, Cristoforetti does not give up on providing further information, reminding the followers of the Molentargius area , “which is now a regional park and a natural oasis for flamingos”.

Then another post, dedicated in this case to an image of the whole of Sardinia: "Water and mountains, forests, plains, coasts, beaches ... for the great variety and beauty of the landscapes and ecosystems someone calls Sardinia a micro- continent ”, remembers the ESA astronaut.
