Assemini, accident with a bus: he dies while riding his bike

Tragedy this morning in Assemini , where a 76 year old man, Giovanni Mattana, died after colliding with a bus while riding his bike.

The accident occurred around 11.30 am in via Sarcidano .

The bus driver immediately stopped to help the cyclist .

Local police officers and an 118 ambulance then arrived on site. Doctors tried in every way to save the 76-year-old's life, but there was nothing they could do.

The bus and bicycle were seized.
