Assault on the armored van, at least 4 armed men in action: the loot is close to 100 thousand euros

One of the two cars used in the robbery of an armored van which took place this morning on the road between Torpè and Lodè , in the direction of Posada, was found in Lodè.

A Mondialpol van was attacked on provincial road 24 , in the locality of S'Aiudu'e Entu. The Volkswagen Polo was stolen and was in any case intact and not burned as initially seemed to emerge from the first reports in the minutes after the robbery.

The raid was carried out around 10:30 at the crossroads between the road that goes towards the Maccheronis dam and the provincial road that leads to Lodè. The commando, composed of at least four men armed with rifles , blocked the armored van that, having left the town of Torpè, was proceeding towards the center of Montalbo.

The criminals, after having stopped the Mondialpol vehicle with only the driver on board, forced him to open the van by firing several gunshots . After having taken the money, they then fled on board two cars. One, as mentioned, was found.

The loot is thought to be close to one hundred thousand euros but the banknotes may have been compromised by the staining system .

On site were the agents of the Siniscola police station, also supported by the Carabinieri of the Siniscola company, who launched a manhunt.
