The out of control goat attacked him forcefully, wounding him. It happened in the Arzana countryside where an eighty-year-old pensioner came into contact with the animal which then gored him. The elderly farmer was seriously injured even if, according to the health personnel who first rescued him after someone had raised the alarm, his life would not be in danger. The wounded man was transported to the John Paul II hospital in Olbia aboard the Areus helicopter.

The fact

Investigations are still underway on the dynamics of the accident, which occurred in the San Martino countryside. What is certain is that the man was attacked and gored by a goat while he was on a small farm on the outskirts of the village on Saturday evening. But it is probable that the animal was grazing freely, without showing any sign of nervousness, if not the usual instinctive attitude of defence. When then suddenly he threw himself against the man who had gone to the farm to take care of the other animals. Perhaps alarmed by a sudden movement of the old man, the goat began to charge the pensioner.

The man, admitted to the Olbia hospital, was later discharged.
