The G20 on beaches, the important national summit which will take place in Arzachena from 3 to 5 May, is one week away.
The delegations of the 26 Italian seaside municipalities that register the highest number of tourist presences, at least one million a year, are expected, together with the delegations of the coastal municipalities with at least 500,000 presences.
They will meet together in the emerald center in order to discuss the challenges to be faced and the opportunities to be seized for sustainable development.
In particular, the objective is to «develop innovative strategies and outline projects useful for defining responsible and intelligent management, both in environmental, economic and social terms, of the fragile and precious Italian coasts».
For some time, the representatives of the municipalities of the G20s network have been working together to ensure that they are legally recognized as a seaside city , which has become a law proposal since 2021.
The days from 3 to 4 May are reserved for insiders. The final conference, open to the public, will be held on the last day of the summit, May 5, at the Municipal Auditorium.
