The Municipality of Arzachena has won the coveted recognition of the 5 sails in the 2022 edition of the Blue Guide of Legambiente . Recognition for the quality of bathing water and the initiatives carried out in favor of environmental protection and the offer of services that enhance the sustainable use of the sea and coasts.

The guide divides the territories into districts to encourage collaboration between entities in the protection of natural resources. Arzachena is included in the Gallura coastal area and AMP Capo Testa and has obtained the maximum score expected .

"Our Municipality has been involved for years in the implementation of policies aimed at protecting the immense natural heritage which is the primary resource at the basis of the quality of life in Arzachena and its attractiveness as a tourist destination - explains the delegate for the Environment, Michele Eyes -. Legambiente has recognized the goodness of the initiatives carried out over the years and well related by our municipal Environment office, which has sent a detailed report on the main areas of action regarding the protection of beaches and the sea, the enhancement of green areas, supply of services, environmental communication campaigns and events aimed at raising public awareness on these issues ".
