On November 4th, National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day, "there will be no change regarding the planned institutional appointments".

After the declarations of the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto at the party of the newspaper Il Foglio ("I am thinking of canceling the Armed Forces party" due to the risks linked to the war in the Gaza Strip), in the evening the clarification arrives from the department of Via XX September, which mainly concerns the main event to be held in Cagliari, in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella: everything is currently confirmed. The event will be held at the port of the Sardinian capital, which will be armored for the occasion.

In consideration of the complex international situation and the serious crisis in the Middle East, "a series of collateral events that the Ministry was organizing to celebrate the important significance of this date will presumably be cancelled ", we read in a note.

In Rome it was decided that it was necessary to take a step back by deciding to eliminate the evening scheduled in the theater already in recent days «because it was no longer considered appropriate in light of recent events. However, the event planned at the Circus Massimo in Rome will be evaluated on the basis of the evolution of the international situation and after a discussion and careful evaluation with the Ministry of the Interior and with the intelligence sector".

With Israel's advance towards the Gaza Strip, the Islamic Jihad's call to support Hamas and the attack in France with today's alarms at the Louvre and Versailles, the shadow of terrorism is once again hovering in Italy too. The country is preparing for "difficult months", to put it in the words of the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and security measures are being increased on all sensitive objectives.
