Alarm last night for a mushroom hunter in difficulty on the southern slope of Monte Arcuentu (Arbus). Due to the adverse weather conditions, the man lost his orientation and was unable to return to his car.

After the alert arrived at the operations center of the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps, a team made up of 7 technicians from the Cagliari and Iglesias stations, including a doctor, intervened on site. The searches by the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps were also carried out through the use of a drone equipped with a thermal camera. The instrument, guided by a pilot from the Alpine and Speleological Rescue of Sardinia, allowed the team to reach the missing person more easily and to carry out the medical evaluation to check his health conditions before accompanying him back to the car.

The firefighters of the Sanluri detachment were also present on site.
