A version of Greek and Latin, a summary of the 31st canto of Hell, Parini's "Il Giorno" with the quatrains scrupulously hand-marked. With the handwriting of an excellent student of the high school Dettori of Cagliari, pupil of his professor of Italian Raffa Garzia: Antonio Gramsci. Unpublished material that enriches the exhibition set up from 18 to 29 September in the Aula Magna of the Cagliari high school, recently renovated and named after the great anti-fascist thinker and intellectual.

"The rediscovered magazines: the formation of the young Gramsci in Sardinia (1907-1914)" is the title of the review, which will be inaugurated on Saturday 18 September (at 10 am).

Inserted in the events of "Parma Italian capital of culture 2020 + 21", promoted by the "Grazia Deledda" Circle of the Emilian city, the exhibition is curated by Luca Paulesu, nephew of Teresina Gramsci Paulesu, Antonio's favorite sister. On display is a selection of political and literary and avant-garde magazines to which the future founder of the Communist Party subscribed during the years of the gymnasium in Santu Lussurgiu, of the high school in Cagliari and of the university in Turin: "Il Marzocco", "Le cronache literarie "," La Lupa "," Piedmont "," La Voce "," L'Unità di Salvemini (1911-1913) "," Patria ". A treasure that has remained for years in the attic of Teresa Gramsci's old house in Ghilarza. It was Luca Paulesu who discovered it in 2018.

Also on display is a selection of some books from Gramsci's youth library, in particular in the editions of "La Voce", some of which were found together with the magazines. In the same series also "Trentino seen by a socialist" by Benito Mussolini.

"These findings allow a rewriting of Gramsci's training in Sardinia and of the cultural climate breathed in the family. A theme addressed only by Giuseppe Fiori in his biography-masterpiece. After him no one else has investigated", Paulesu's comment.
