From "Giorgio Asproni" to "Giovanni Antonio Sanna". From Nuoro to Sassari, but always to lead an Archaeological Museum. The Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia announces that, starting January 1st, Antonio Cosseddu will be the new director of the "Sanna" National and Ethnographic Museum in Sassari and of the Pre-Nuragic Altar of Monte d'Accoddi, located along the road to Porto Torres.
An archaeologist, Dr. Cosseddu has led the Nuoro Museum since September 1, 2024. In Sassari, he succeeds Dr. Elisabetta Grassi, who passed away prematurely a few months ago.
It's worth remembering that, as director of the Nuoro Museum, Antonio Cosseddu, together with the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Sassari, is working on the "Tappeti urbani" project, which brings together music, visual arts, myth, design, and the regeneration of the suburbs of the two Sardinian cities.
