Another attack on the Mamoiada Postamat: a van used as a battering ram

Another attack occurred overnight at the Postamat ATM in Mamoiada. The bandits, five armed men with their faces covered , attempted to steal the cash from the ATM, using a heavy vehicle as a battering ram to smash into the building . The attack occurred around 4:30 a.m. The gang, aiming for the internal safe, smashed the window of the post office but fled empty-handed.

Law enforcement officers promptly arrived on the scene and began investigations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators of the attempted robbery.

This is the latest incident targeting the town's Postamat cash machine. The last attack dates back to March 20, 2026, when criminals attempted to uproot the machine located in Piazza Europa by attaching it to a car. On that occasion, the attack failed due to the structure's resistance, forcing the bandits to flee empty-handed.
