Graphic images of animal slaughter and intensive farming were allegedly shown to children at the Argillera primary school in Alghero during an animal welfare awareness program. The incident, based on reports from several families, was reported by Christian Mulas, president of the 5th Commission of the Municipal Council of Alghero , who submitted an urgent question to the mayor and the president of the City Council.

According to parents, the initiative , held during school hours by representatives of an animal rights organization , allegedly took on content different from that authorized by the school administration. During the meeting , videos and images deemed inappropriate for the students' age were shown , causing severe emotional distress in some children. The question also refers to the initial presence of people wearing white masks, which were later removed at the request of the teaching staff.

According to reports, the teachers intervened, interrupting the screening and removing the individuals involved. Mulas asked the Administration if it was aware of the facts, whether there were any relationships or collaborations with the association involved, and what checks were carried out on the content presented to the students. The councilor also called for a meeting with school administration to establish stricter criteria for external access to local schools. "Schools must be places of balanced educational growth, respectful of the sensitivities of minors and the role of families," Mulas emphasized, calling for an urgent response from the City Council.
