The activities of the Alghero Coast Guard continue, under the coordination of the Olbia Maritime Directorate, against the illegal fishing of sea urchins by unauthorized fishermen.

About 700 specimens were seized on Monday 27 March. Four distinct offenders get into trouble, to whom the administrative penalties provided for and totaling 4 thousand euros have been raised.

All the fish products, found still in their vital state, were immediately returned to the sea.

The Commander of the Maritime District Office of Alghero, Lieutenant of Vascello Giuseppe Tomai, underlines how the control activity of the terrestrial and maritime band of jurisdiction will continue in the next few days in conjunction with the delicate period of the Easter holidays.
