Alessio Madeddu, the chef of "Quattro Ristorantes" killed in Teulada: 23 years for Angelo Brancasi
The sentencing in the Court of Assizes of Cagliari presided over by judge Lucia PerraAngelo Brancasi, 45 years old, a baker from Sant'Anna Arresi, was sentenced to 23 years in prison, accused of the aggravated murder of Alessio Madeddu, the chef from Teulada, 52 years old, found lifeless at the end of October 2021 in front of his restaurant in Porto Budello, in Teulada.
After a deliberation lasting over three hours, the Court of Assizes of Cagliari presided over by judge Lucia Perra, alongside her colleague Alessandra Angioni, essentially accepted the reconstruction of the facts illustrated by PR Rita Cariello, who had requested a 27-year sentence of prison (and not life imprisonment) contesting the multi-aggravated murder (premeditation, futile motives and cruelty), but still recognizing the generic extenuating circumstances for the confession arrived immediately after the arrest, but also for the choice of the defender, Giovanni Fara, to admit the prosecutor's file in its entirety, thus skipping the entire phase of the hearing.
The chef from Teulada, who became famous after chef Alessandro Borghese's TV show "Quattro Ristoranti", was killed in front of his Sabor e Mari fish tourism business: first he was stabbed, then hit with the car, hit with a hoe and then ended up with a big stone. At the origin of the crime there was an alleged extramarital relationship between Alessio Madeddu and an employee, wife of the accused. In the courtroom of the Assize Court of Cagliari there was present both the accused who did not want to make statements during the replies, as well as his daughter Alessia (who continues the business in her father's restaurant) and the victim's family members who were civil parties with the lawyers Doriana Perra, Gianfranco Trullu, Dario Sarigu and Gian Nicola Dessì.
