The Tepilora Regional Natural Park has a new director: Alessandro Caria, 44, was appointed by the Park's president, Martino Sanna, after consulting with the organization's assembly, which unanimously approved the position. Caria, who replaces Marianna Mossa, who has transferred to Molentargius Park, will coordinate the activities of Tepilora and the UNESCO MaB Biosphere Reserve of Tepilora, Rio Posada, and Montalbo for the next five years.

A graduate in Political Science from the University of Cagliari, Caria is leaving the management of the Gal Nuorese Baronia, where, over a long career, he developed expertise in local development and territorial policy management, with extensive experience in planning, implementing, and managing EU-funded projects. He then trained in territorial planning and rural development coordination, collaborating with various institutional bodies on initiatives related to strategic planning and the valorization of local resources.

President Martino Sanna stated, adding: "Significant challenges await us in the future, and with the new Director's experience and expertise, I am confident we will be able to address them with the necessary focus and expertise that the Park's structures have also demonstrated over the years."

The challenge will be to strengthen its role as a planning and innovation platform, capable of attracting resources and generating opportunities. I will offer my experience in managing complex programs and leveraging public resources to build sustainable development paths, shared with the local community and focused on results. Alessandro Caria stated: "I take on this role with a great sense of responsibility and a strong personal connection to this area, where I have consciously chosen to build my professional career. Here I have gained experience, working closely with communities, institutions, and businesses and contributing to the management of public resources geared towards development."
