«Prevent the disfigurement of the Sardinian landscape». The committees against energy speculation that met the President of the Region remain high against the wind attack on the island. But - they say - "many questions remain open which the territories live with apprehension", furthermore "the minimum ceiling of 6.2 gigawatts established in the agreement with the Ministry is a disadvantageous, unfair starting point, a real handicap for the 'Island that risks weighing on all future steps."

For this reason, declared Luigi Pisci on behalf of the coordination of the committees, «we call everyone to participate in the Saccargia initiative tomorrow: the Sardinians, the political forces, the world of associations, the local institutions, the mayors, the trade organizations for show with democratic evidence that the Sardinian people are united against the speculation of the lords of the wind and the sun, do not intend to sell off their territory and their identity and ask all national and regional institutions for the necessary measures to bring them back into the fold of democracy, sharing and compatibility with the profound vocations of the Island, an energy and ecological transition that must be just, fair, micro-impacting and widespread".

Another spokesperson, Marco Pau, insisted on the quota of 6.2 gigawatts assigned to Sardinia: «Where does it come from? And do we know how much energy the island actually needs?". Question addressed directly to Alessandra Todde: «On the island there are two coal-fired power plants that no one talks about and we need to replace that energy produced from fossil fuels with that from renewable sources».

Appointment tomorrow from 2.30 pm, in front of the Romanesque basilica of Saccargia, in Codrongianos, for the mobilization (live) of the committees against energy speculation.
