Grief and shock for two more young lives lost within a few hours in two accidents on the roads of Sardinia.
Nuoro mourns Luigi Canna , a 24-year-old motorcyclist involved in a very serious accident in Su Pinu, on the straight stretch of Viale Murichessa that connects Città Giardino to Badu 'e Carros.
The young man collided with a Seat for reasons still under investigation. His condition immediately appeared desperate. Emergency responders attempted to resuscitate him on the scene for about half an hour before urgently transferring him to the emergency room at San Francesco Hospital. Attempts to save his life were unfortunately unsuccessful.
Grief also gripped Sanluri , where yesterday, on the day of the elections that confirmed Alberto Urpi as mayor, 25-year-old Matteo Mocci, a candidate on Cinzia Fenu's list , opposed to the mayor's, lost his life . The young man died following an accident on his way to work after the vote.
The young man was driving his Fiat Panda to a farmhouse in Sanluri Stato when, for reasons yet to be determined, he collided with a Ford Fiesta driven by a colleague. The accident occurred in the Podere Magnaboschi area. The impact was fatal for Mocci: emergency responders were unable to save him.
The news immediately spread to the capital of Medio Campidano where Urpi immediately decided to suspend the re-election celebrations .
