The investigation into the sexual abuse of a little girl has been closed. The Oristano prosecutor Armando Mammone has requested the indictment of Antonino Demelas, the 70-year-old from Mogorella who ended up in prison last spring for abusing two minors.

An investigation born from the one opened by the prosecutor for the murder of Marina Castangia , the sixty-year-old originally from Cabras who vanished into thin air a year ago and at the time the ex-chef's partner. The two proceedings would be closely connected because according to the investigators the woman may have discovered the morbid attentions of her partner towards the little girl. And this could be the reason that exacerbated the tensions in the couple until the tragic end of the 60-year-old, of which traces were lost in June 2021.

For a year and a half after the raid by the carabinieri on the house in via Vittorio Emanuele, the findings of the RIS of Cagliari and the notification of the notice of guarantee, the investigations by the Carabinieri of Oristano have never stopped. And the environmental interceptions in the car and in the house have revealed a squalid history of child abuse which culminated in the arrest of Demelas (defended by the lawyer Mario Gusi).

The file on voluntary homicide is also closing, in which the 70-year-old is assisted by the lawyer Monica Masia. It all started with the missing report of the hairdresser from Cabras presented by her children in May 2021. They hadn't heard from her for several weeks, no phone calls, no withdrawal of money from her account while all the clothes, car and documents were in the house of Mogorella where the last one to see her was her partner. Searches, searches, interrogations but the woman seemed to have vanished into thin air. Demelas has always maintained that he is innocent and that he has never harmed his partner. But it was some contradictions in his story and particular behaviors (he had whitewashed the bedroom and thrown away the furniture immediately after Marina's disappearance) that made the investigators suspicious who accused him of voluntary homicide.
