Left arm in the air and the deafening cry "I swear". Now life in uniform begins. This morning the 80 students of the two hundred and twentieth training course for State Police officers swore at the Caip of Abbasanta directed by the first manager Roberto Pietrosanti, the only police school in Sardinia.

A touching ceremony after months of hard work. And so many emotions for having made it and for the start of a new work adventure. With the oath, therefore, the training course of the agents ends. In the next few days they will be assigned to the offices and departments of the State Police throughout the country to begin their professional career in the protection of the community.

The swearing-in ceremony took place simultaneously in all schools in Italy. This morning they swore allegiance to the Republic after having attended the 220th course in all 1,385 students. In Abbassata were present the relatives of the agents, the teachers of the school, both internal and external, many institutional figures, the mayor of Abbasanta and the police chief of Oristano Giuseppe Giardina.

The course started six months ago. On the benches 50 Sardinian students and thirty of Sicilian origin. Eight women were also present. During the course, the students studied various theoretical subjects such as criminal law and procedure, constitutional law, the regulations of the police forces and much more. During these months the agents have also tried their hand at many physical and technical tests.
