State Police personnel (Porto Cervo Police Station) executed an arrest warrant and transferred to prison for a 48-year-old man accused of stalking. According to the charges filed by Tempio Prosecutor's Office prosecutor, Sara Martino, the alleged stalker targeted an employee of the Municipality of Arzachena for several years.

Numerous anonymous letters containing extremely serious threats and insults were reportedly delivered on various occasions over a period of years to the alleged victim's home. Investigators, coordinated by the director of the Porto Cervo Police Station, Valentina Piras, traced the man thanks in part to handwriting analysis.

During the investigation, the man arrested yesterday also allegedly harassed and stalked another woman. The man was transferred to Bancali prison. The arrest warrant was signed by Tempio's investigating judge, Federica Di Stefano.
