Abbasanta: A van loaded with alfalfa catches fire on Highway 131; the driver is safe.

Firefighters from the Abbasanta detachment responded this afternoon around 1:15 PM at km 130 of state road 131, towards Sassari, to a fire involving a box van loaded with alfalfa.
The vehicle, for reasons yet to be clarified, suddenly caught fire while driving: the driver managed to pull over and save himself.
Upon arriving on the scene, firefighters extinguished the flames and secured the approximately two hundred meters of affected area. The van was completely destroyed.
Traffic was blocked for about 90 minutes, with law enforcement also on site.
