Major Carabinieri raid. Two English tourists arrested with a mobile drug market, eleven charges filed, and licenses revoked. A man stopped on the highway drunk on an e-bike. It was a truly wild night on the streets of Gallura's nightlife . Behind the bright lights and glitzy allure of Gallura's nightlife, the Carabinieri discovered an abyss of excess and disorder. The results of the widespread checks carried out by the Siniscola Company are a serious one, a veritable war report: two arrests and 11 reports at large, in addition to several reported users. The operation, which began at 9:00 PM on September 5 and continued throughout the night until September 6, 2026, saw the military cordon off the main entertainment arteries. Particular attention was paid to the streets adjacent to a well-known nightclub, the epicenter of local nightlife.

The raid dismantled a veritable traveling drug market run by two British citizens, aged 33 and 25. Stopped for a check, the two British tourists were found in possession of an impressive assortment of narcotics: cocaine, marijuana, hallucinogens, MDMA, ketamine, hashish, and as many as 37 ecstasy pills . During the hectic phase of the operation, one of the two allegedly actively and violently resisted officers in a vain attempt to escape arrest. Both were arrested and taken to prison in Nuoro and will not be allowed to set foot in San Teodoro again for the next two years, pending a removal order.

But the story of last night doesn't end there. Extensive checks led to the reporting of 11 more people for crimes ranging from drug dealing, to drunk driving, to possession of weapons, and to threatening and insulting a public official. Among the most surreal and dangerous incidents, that of a 48-year-old Londoner stands out: the man was intercepted in the middle of the night while riding an electric bicycle along the SS131 DCN (at kilometer 117, towards Olbia) . He underwent a breathalyzer test, recording a blood alcohol level of 1.61 g/l. Furthermore, when searched, he was found in possession of a large quantity of hashish and precision scales, landing him in trouble for possession with intent to deal. A 44-year-old man from Olbia was also charged with the same crime, having been caught with a considerable quantity of cocaine already divided into doses ready for sale, accompanied by the inevitable scales.

A dramatic situation has emerged regarding road safety near the nightclubs in San Teodoro. In some cases, blood alcohol levels among drivers have nearly reached the threshold of alcohol coma: a 23-year-old was caught behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level of 2.46 g/l, while a 37-year-old was found with a blood alcohol level of 2.18 g/l . The driver's license violations continued, with drivers fined for high blood alcohol levels. A 35-year-old further worsened his situation by categorically refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test.

Numerous cases of young people testing positive for breathalyzer tests, but below the legal limit, confirming widespread alcohol consumption. It is encouraging that many other young people, upon leaving the nightclub, approached the patrol officers and asked to take a breathalyzer test to verify their actual condition and avoid driving while impaired. Unfortunately, there were also moments of extreme tension. A 53-year-old driver, stopped while drunk, apparently reacted to the check with evident impatience, going so far as to threaten officers and, as a sign of impatience, attempting to set fire to his own car to dissuade them from proceeding. Fortunately, the flames were doused on the spot . A 35-year-old man, reported for needlessly insulting officers during checks in front of the nightclub, showed similar behavior, as a sign of impatience with their presence. Further alarm was raised by the discovery of a 55-year-old man caught walking around, without justifiable reason, armed with a knife with a 22.5-centimeter blade.
