Carbonia: A large pine tree collapses on a parked car.

A large pine tree fell last night around 10:30 pm on Via Costituente in Carbonia.

The tree fell on a Lancia Y parked underneath. A solar thermal system in a front garden was also severely damaged. The Igleisas Fire Brigade, Athena Civil Protection, and local police officers were on scene.

The area has been cordoned off pending safety measures.

During the night, firefighters also intervened and cleared the crown of another tree, and the local police commander decided to close the road as a precaution.
