A Foundation will manage the tourist routes of Sardinia's historic green train, the old locomotives that cross some of the most evocative landscapes of the interior of the island.

An article linked to the financial maneuver provides for it: the Foundation, the text reads, will be born within the Arst, which already manages the sections, and will have the task of «protecting, recovering, enhancing, reusing and promoting, for tourist purposes , cultural and promotion of inland areas, the railway infrastructure network".

The Foundation will be based in Sassari: non-profit and without the possibility of distributing profits, it will act «through the creation of an efficient and participatory management system, shared by local authorities, as an active part of the process of elaboration and definition of the plan policies and interventions related to the protection and reuse of the regional historical railway heritage".

It will have a president, an executive council, the participation assembly and the auditor.

Against the opposition, two points raised by the councilor Pd Salvatore Corrias. First of all, the fact that the Foundation was born within Arst, «which deals with transport, while this is a tourist route». Corrias also insisted on the involvement of all the municipalities on which the historic routes are located, the provinces and all the tour operators of the territories involved. "All entities will be involved, even if they are not listed in the law," replied the councilor Antonio Moro.
