A cornice falls in the street, a near tragedy in Noragugume

A near-tragedy occurred this morning in Noragugume when a large concrete cornice fell onto the street .

The accident occurred in via S'Ortu 'e S'ena , on the immediate outskirts of the town, in the public housing blocks.

A piece of cornice broke off, falling onto the street below, which is often busy and where children often play. At that moment, fortunately, the street was deserted .

« What has happened, however, is serious - says the mayor, Rita Zaru - the anomaly has been reported several times and so have the precarious conditions due to the lack of maintenance in the building. We did it verbally and then also with a written note."
