A burglary in Sassari resulted in a €100 haul and much greater damage: "Businesses are vulnerable."
Alberto Fois, president of Fipe Confcommercio, speaks out. He was also the victim of a theft just a few meters away from the pharmacy that was hit last night.Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
One hundred euros in loot and much larger amounts of damage. Last night's break-in at the parapharmacy in Sassari's Emiciclo Garibaldi district yielded very little for the thief or thieves, who are being investigated by the State Police.
"It's a terrible feeling to feel so vulnerable, especially in such a central part of the city," says Alberto Fois, president of Fipe Sassari and of Confcommercio for the northwest. Fois himself was the victim of another break-in on January 15th of this year, at the bar he owns in the same building, 20 meters away.
"We need to raise awareness among people," he adds, "to be more reactive when these things happen and to report them immediately." The paradox of the latest theft is that it occurred under the cameras of the same commercial establishment.
The thieves ignored the electronic eyes. To smash the glass, they apparently used a rock, like the one used on the bar they attacked four months ago. "There are many cameras in the area," Fois concludes, "now we'll have to use the alarms too."
