A second break in just 24 hours risks bringing back a water emergency to Nuoro and Mamoiada .

Abbanoa announced the news, having had to work again overnight on the external pipeline that supplies the tanks at the two centers. Repairs to the previous fault were completed only yesterday morning, and the operator announced that no service interruptions would be necessary.

But a few hours later, during the night, another break occurred in the same pipeline, reviving fears of further disruption for residents and businesses on days of unusually hot and muggy weather.

Abbanoa teams are already working to repair the fault. Meanwhile, the utility warns that service disruptions, including low water pressure or a lack of water supply, may occur today in both the cities of Nuoro and Mamoiada until the work is completed.

Water will continue to flow until the reserves accumulated in the tanks are exhausted, but the situation will evolve depending on the time needed to repair the pipeline.

Abbanoa also reports that, once service is restored, the water may be temporarily cloudy. This is due to the pipes being emptied and then refilled following repairs. For Nuoro and Mamoiada, this is yet another emergency on the water network , with the risk of the nightmare of service interruptions returning after the failure reported just the previous day.
