Another weekend of celebration with Lo Carraixali de l'Alguer which offers the highlight of the successful program dedicated to masked parties in the city and in the villages.

Everything is ready for the Children's Carnival, scheduled for Saturday afternoon , starting at 3 pm, with the great parade "Ragazzi in Scena - "Classic, modern and literary fairy tales" ready to invade the streets and squares of the city, starting from via Vittorio Emanuele and arriving in Piazzale della Pace, where the great final party is planned with the distribution of fritters to the participants, thanks to the collaboration of the Alghero hotel school.

The event is sponsored by the Municipality, by the Alghero Foundation, with the contribution of the Region which has decided to finance the Carnival events on the Island through a specific call for tenders of the Regional Law n° 7 of 1955 and thanks to which 45 thousand euros have arrived in Alghero .

The Carraixali de l'Alguer will end on Sunday 9 March with WW the Carnival and its Pentolacce.

Born in 1982, “Ragazzi In Scena: the masked parade of nursery and primary schools”, has become the symbol of "Alghero City of the Children's Carnival": with about 3 thousand participants including students, teachers and parents, the parade represents a true community celebration, promoting educational themes such as history, geography, respect for the environment and the culture of recycling.

The event, organized in collaboration with schools, reflects the commitment to a family-friendly city. The coordination and artistic direction of the event is by RM Management. Sunday March 9, from 4:30 pm in Piazza Sulis, appointment with WW Carnival and its Pentolacce, the traditional game of the piñata in the square, with stories and surprises for the little ones.

The party will kick off with an interactive theatrical show inspired by a typical Sardinian oral tale , "The fairy tale of Peppédda and Piràstru", immediately after the drawing of tickets to participate in the Pentolacce game, which involves the active participation of the audience and the winning of four different types of prizes. The show is curated by the cultural association La Nuova Piccola Compagnia.
