11 fires in Sardinia, the helicopter intervenes in Dualchi

There are 11 fires recorded today in Sardinia and in one case the Forestry Corps had to resort not only to ground crews but also by air from the regional system.

The flames developed in the “Noedda” locality of Dualchi in an area of uncultivated pastures adjacent to an impervious portion of land covered by Mediterranean scrub.

The extinguishing operations were particularly difficult due to the lack of visibility.

The staff of the Bolotana Forestry Corps station and the helicopter from the Fenosu base intervened.
