Marcell Jacobs is back on track at 100 on Wednesday in Savona , for the first time since the Tokyo Olympic gold medal.
The Federatletica announces it, in view of the Ottolia Memorial in which the Olympic champion had to run the 200. Jacobs had planned his return to 100 last week in Nairobi, but had been stopped by a gastrointestinal virus . Now the renunciation of double distance and the choice of 100.

It is precisely on the Ligurian track that twelve months ago Jacobs signed the first Italian career record , dropping under ten seconds for the first time with 9.95 and inaugurating the ride that led him to gold in Tokyo.
The 100 of Fontanassa will see at the starting blocks three of the four Italian relay runners who have conquered gold with the 4x100 : the presence of Fausto Desalu and Patta has already been announced for weeks. In the race also the former European record holder Jimmy Vicaut and the promising Azzurri Matteo Melluzzo, Chituru Ali and Wanderson Polanco.
