The 17-year-old who, together with her father Giovanni Barreca and a couple of religious fanatic friends, killed her mother Antonella Salomone and her two brothers, aged 16 and 5, during a crazy "demon liberation rite", was sentenced to 12 years and 8 months by the investigating judge for minors Nicola Aiello. The prosecutor had asked for 18 years.

The young woman was accused of aggravated multiple homicide and concealment of a corpse.

The massacre was committed in February 2024 in Altavilla Milicia, in the province of Palermo.

The girl, who in the meantime has turned 18, in complicity with her father, a bricklayer, and with a couple – Sabrina Fina and Massimo Carandente – allegedly tried, with torture of all kinds , to free the Barreca family from demonic presences .

The bricklayer and the couple are on trial before the Palermo Assize Court . Today they had their first hearing. The girl has always admitted the facts. The Carabinieri, notified by the minor's father who called the military and turned himself in the night after the crimes, found her sleeping in her room.
