A single regional or sub-regional Cup, monitoring of waiting lists entrusted to Agenas, a general inspectorate for health care control, the involvement of specialists (assignments of up to 10 hours per week) and the introduction of visits and tests on Saturday and Sunday , as announced in recent days by Giorgia Meloni.

These are some of the main measures of the anti-waiting list decree law . The provision, as seen in the draft, is made up of 14 articles and will be examined by the Council of Ministers today.

The bill also introduces a national register of citizen reports on poor services, provides for a 20% increase in hourly rates for staff who will have to present additional services to cut waiting lists and 100 million to make use of internal outpatient specialists to recover the waiting lists.

The doctor, when requesting a visit or tests, will also be asked to indicate a priority class.

Furthermore, the Regions will assign to the general managers of the health companies some annual objectives on reducing the lists. Failure to achieve this may result in sanctions up to suspension from the national list of directors for 12 months.
