From December 16, the administration of anti-Covid vaccines begins at the age group 5-11 years. Emergency commissioner Figliuolo announced this after the approval of Aifa.

"The Commissioner Structure - says Figliuolo - has scheduled the distribution in December of 1.5 million pediatric doses of Pfizer vaccine".

This is a first tranche that will be subsequently integrated in January. The first doses "will be made available on December 15, so that all the vaccination facilities of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces will be able to proceed with the administration starting from December 16".

The vaccination of children remains voluntary, no obligation and no Green pass for them.

There are 3.5 million children potentially affected, Annamaria Staiano, the president of the Italian Society of Pediatrics, said. We must start with the fragile ones, which are about 10%.

Figliuolo also made it known that yesterday, with 430,614 inoculations in Italy, the daily target of 400 thousand set by the Commissioner Structure was exceeded.

The first doses were 30,286, compared to 26,003 second administrations (primary cycles completed), while the third doses reached 374,325.
