Tree falls on the highway and collapses on a car: the driver dies instantly

A motorist, Francesco Vincenzo Maniaci, 43 years old, died when a tree collapsed on his car along the A20 motorway in the Palermo area, between the Campofelice di Roccella and Cefalù junctions.
It happened at dawn today, at kilometer 175 towards Palermo.
The car was hit head-on by the large trunk, which was on the sides of the road.
The driver died instantly. Traffic police, workers from the CAS (highway consortium) and emergency vehicles immediately responded to the scene.
The road was closed to traffic.
