There are too many female principals , and to support the " blue quotas", the draft of the next competition for school managers in article 10 provides that «at the end of the competition procedure, (...) with the same overall score (...), considering the percentages of gender representation of each region (...), the title of preference is in favor of the male gender ".

A measure, that of making men prevail with equal scores, which the Uil school does not like.

«This is still a draft and not an official decree, but we will demand a revision in the next meetings», explains the union, according to which « a short-sighted copy paste connects two different regulatory provisions . The first regulates gender representation (Presidential Decree no. 82 of 16 June), the second regulates the next competition for school managers".

«The result of this completely bureaucratic superposition makes us take a step back that seems to belong to an era that has now passed». A prediction «that has nothing to do with gender balance, which introduces mechanisms of false equality, which takes no account of experience, ability and aptitude. Thinking of creating an equalization on the contrary, indicating the male gender as preferable, introduces a gender diversification into the school which there is absolutely no need for. Regardless of gender equality, the professionalism of school staff cannot be measured on the basis of sex.
