Hours of anguish for three climbers stranded last night on Mont Blanc.
The three, one of them in hypothermia, had remained stationary on the Via dell'Innominata at 4,700 meters, an altitude that did not allow the intervention of teams by land.
The Peloton de Gendarmerie de Haute Montagne (PGHM) of Chamonix was therefore alerted to request the intervention of their helicopter qualified for night flight. But the aircraft could not leave, due to the weather on the French side.
The three therefore had to set off independently towards the Vallot bivouac, reached at 4 in the morning: the route was indicated to them by the operators of the Valle d'Aosta Alpine Rescue.
Now the Sav will decide, based on their physical conditions and the weather, whether to proceed with the recovery by helicopter.
