The Pope: "Even nuns and priests watch porn on the web, it's a vice of many people"

Pope Francis said this, warning seminarians. Responding to a seminarian who asked him how to deal with the digital world and social media, the Pontiff said: “I believe that these things must be used, because it is a progress in science, they give a service to be able to progress in life. So use mobile phones and digital devices, use them to communicate, that's fine ”.

But, he warned, care must be taken not to waste too much time and not to use them as a tool for pornography .

“There is one other thing you are familiar with, digital pornography. I will not ask each of you who have had an experience of this type to raise their hand, but each of you think about it, if you have had the experience or even just the temptation ”, he said to the seminarians.

Pornography, he added, “ is a vice that has many people, many lay people, many lay women, and even priests and nuns. The devil enters from there, weakens the soul and the priestly heart . And I'm not just talking about criminal pornography such as child abuse, but rather 'normal' pornography. Dear brothers, pay attention to this ”.

And again, to conclude: "Excuse me if I go down to these details on pornography, but there is a reality, a reality that touches priests, seminarians, nuns, consecrated souls".
