Sometimes he cries, sometimes he doesn't seem to be aware of the situation. Alessia Pifferi , the 36-year-old arrested for killing her daughter of almost a year and a half after having abandoned her for six days alone at home in Milan until she died of starvation, is under surveillance in the San Vittore prison.

From the first results of the autopsy on the body of little Diana, no obvious cause of death has emerged and, therefore, the doctors have reserved the right to provide more precise answers when they have certain parameters available. A first relationship will take a few weeks. The analysis by the Scientific Police on the milk in the bottle, which was next to the baby, will be decisive. To be clarified if it contained benzodiazepines (there was a bottle of tranquilizer in the house) made to take, it is suspected, by the mother to the daughter.

It is not even known for sure when Diana died: perhaps before 24 hours prior to the discovery of the lifeless little body. If it were ascertained that the mother made the child take benzodiazepines, to stun her and prevent her from crying, the accusation of voluntary homicide could even be aggravated by recognizing full intent and premeditation.
