A father, mother, and five-year-old daughter were found dead in their home in Rome, their bodies pierced by gunshot wounds.

The bodies of three members of an entire family , a disabled girl of just five years old and her parents, aged 41 and 42, were found inside a house in Rome , in the Pietralata area.

The Carabinieri are investigating the incident. The bodies were found in the bedroom : the three were apparently shot, and the possibility of a murder-suicide has not yet been ruled out.

Emergency services and the fire department were also on site, the latter arriving to allow investigators to enter the home. The alarm had been raised by the victims' relatives.
