A dramatic accident, right in the middle of the patron saint's day. It happened in Sicily, in Militello in Val di Catania, where a "confetti shooter" exploded while the crowd was looking up.

The explosion sent the firing tube flying, which went on to fatally strike a man . His wife was also injured and hospitalized.

The carabinieri were on the spot: the party was immediately suspended.
