Two young North Africans were stopped this morning by the police, as they were held responsible for the fatal attack on Teodoro Ullasci , a 59-year-old of Sardinian origin found dead in L'Aquila .

The crime hypothesis is that of murder.

Ullasci, born in 1964 in Turin to an island family and resident for some time at the Case di Tempera Project, one of the earthquake-proof neighborhoods built since 2009 on the outskirts of the Abruzzo capital, was allegedly attacked yesterday afternoon.

The investigators' investigations are now continuing to shed light on the exact dynamics of what happened, the motive and the causes of death.

According to a first hypothesis, Ullasci was hit with a violent kick to the left side and then with a violent punch to the face which caused him to fall, leaving him lifeless, perhaps even after hitting his head.

Rescue attempts were useless.
