Felix Baumgartner, a 56-year-old Austrian base jumper and skydiver, fell ill, lost control of his aircraft, and crashed into a swimming pool at a hotel in Porto Sant'Elpidio (Fermo). He was known worldwide for his extreme feats, particularly his leap from the stratosphere, which set three world records.

The tragedy occurred around 4:00 PM on the Fermo coast. During the crash, the plane struck a young woman who, fortunately, is not seriously injured. According to initial reports, the man, Baumgartner, was already dead at the time of impact.
